waist training? more like waste of time

Image result for waist trainer meme

A huge trend that i've been seeing on social media has been waist trainers. They are these magical things that go around your waste and without doing anything at all they will make you lose inches. Wrong. Not only are people scamming you to buy into these things but using waist trainers can actually be harmful to your body.

1) organ damage- wearing these waist trainers extremely tight for long periods of time can cause damage to your organs. placing them in the wrong area can cause permanent damage, and also if the trainer it tight enough you will be receiving less blood and oxygen to your vital organs which can cause symptoms such as dizziness and difficulty breathing.

2) acid reflux- wearing a waist trainer will cause pressure on your stomach there for leading you more likely to have problems such as heartburn and indigestion

3)skin irritation- having the waist  trainer on for long periods of time can cause rashes and even bruising !

in the end there really is no reason to be wearing a waist trainer. if you want a smaller waist eat healthy and workout .

do you even lift ?

Are people using fake weights on Instagram to gain followers and likes? yes, this something
that has been trending on Instagram for a while and i believe it's becoming a huge problem.
The biggest problem with using fake weights is the fact that people are gullible enough to believe it,
and because of that they may put themselves in danger by trying to do the same amount of weight.
Not only this but the Instagram models using fake weights takes away all the credit of the women and
men who can actually lift.Social media can be used to encourage and motivate people, but not if it's done in a way
that shows a fake reality. here are some tips i put together to tell if a person is using
fake weights or not in a video
1)straining -simply enough if someone is lifting really heavy it's easy to tell that there actually
having to put effort in the lift. sometimes people's veins will pop out and there face will turn red.
2) shape of the weights- depending on the setting if the person is in a gym look in the background at
the other weights. are they all the same shape as the ones the person is lifting? same brand?
if not they could possibly be fake
3)sound-if the person drops the weights what do they sound like?
4)speed and reps-if someone is doing an insane amount of weight in a fast pace with high reps, chances
are it could be fake.
5)bar bending- if your lifting hundreds of pounds on your shoulder for asquat you may notice that the bar
bends slightly. So if in the video there no bending at all with a high weight then you should be suspicious
Overall don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Do your research by seeing professional
bodybuilders and powerlifters during competition to see what it's actually like to lift heavy.

why your quick fix diet is harming you.

Most people in there lifetime get to a point where they decide they want to lose weight. Whether it be for health reasons, special events, vacation, or just to generally look better. That is when people go on t
hings such as YouTube and google to find out ways for them to "lose weight fast". And as a result things pop up on these websites  such as  the military diet, keto diet, and the  cabbage soup diet. Well i'm here to tell you the top 3 reasons why you shouldn't bother with these types of fad diets because there going to end up hurting you in the long run

1) They are not realistic! Limiting your calorie intake by crazy amounts will only get you so far before you burn out. your body needs food to be able to function for daily activities. Not only that but  If your cutting out large varieties of food you could end up missing out on the certain vitamins and mineral that are crucial for your health. Starving your body will not make you lose weight! if your body is being deprived it will keep what it needs to survive.

2) They will affect you mentally! Because you are going on untrustworthy sites to get your information you will probably see ads that say " suzan did this diet and lost 15 pounds in two weeks" so your thinking to your self " wow if i do this diet i will lose this amount of weight really fast" Which is not true ! Most websites use fake promotions to get people to buy into there special diets. and by the end of the two weeks if you don't lose that weight that you where promised your going to feel really bad about your self. Not only that but a lot of people will lose all hope and just go back to there bad old eating habits they had before without learning how to eat healthier.

3) They don't address the real issue! As said before these diets will not work for everyone, and if you end up failing you could end up going back into your bad habits. Most of these diets are not  nutrient based, meaning there not meant to be healthy and sustainable there just meant for you to "lose weight fast" and because of this you won't be able to break bad habit and learn how to eat healthier day to day.

If you are trying to lose weight the best way to do it is by doing research on the right websites, talking to your doctor or by seeing a nutritionist. Weight loss can  be difficult but doing simple things like getting enough water, getting enough sleep, adding fruits and veggies or even just adding some type of physical activity to you daily schedule can make a big difference.
